SURPLUS
In the Netherlands, there is an estimated 2 million kilogram of wool thrown away each year. The Dutch sheep have a unique position cul, but also their function in landscaping and keeping up with bio-diversity is important. The sheep is deemed of importance for everything except its coarse and rugged wool. With my research, I want to show the systems and processes contributing to this abundance of wool/material and shape them it product proposals and materials. The general name I attribute to my research is now Surplus, because all the different elements stem from abundance and excess.
